P+S are currently looking to secure high-calibre professional contractors capable of delivering works on live electrical networks, ensuring compliance with DNO standards, and supporting the growth of a scalable Power & EV division. Projects will be across the UK where candidates must be willing to travel; flexibility for night shift work and outage may be required.

Core Responsibilities:
- Carry out LV & HV cable jointing (straight joints, terminations, link boxes)
- Undertake network connections, disconnections, and service terminations
- Perform de-looping works on existing networks
- Install and commission EV charging infrastructure
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and DNO designs
- Conduct testing, inspection, and fault finding
- Ensure full compliance with:
- BS 7671 (18th Edition)
- DNO / IDNO standards
- Health & Safety legislation (HSE / CDM)
Key Competencies:
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks
- Ability to work safely on live systems
- Knowledge of DNO standards and compliance requirements
- High standards of quality assurance and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- Electrical Competence- Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
- Street Works & Site Competence- NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)
- Cable Joining- Recognised LV cable jointing certification
- Proven experience in HV jointing (where applicable)
- Experience working with PILC / XLPE / waveform cables
Qualifications & Accreditations (Desirable):
- ECS or CSCS Card
- NICEIC or NAPIT affiliation (for EV works)
- City & Guilds 2919 (EV Charging Installations)
- DNO / IDNO authorisations
- LV Authorised Person / HV Authorised Person
- Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum- 3–5 years LV cable jointing experience
- Experience working on live electrical networks
- Preferred- HV jointing experience
- Experience working on DNO / ICP projects
- EV installation and commissioning experience
