Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, eager and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their Process Engineering team.
What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will oversee all maintenance activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a fully site-based role, working closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams.
You will ensure equipment reliability, safety and operational efficiency.
You will co-ordinate preventative and reactive maintenance, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement including project work and 6S across production and warehouse operations.
- How You Will Do It
- Perform planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production teams in restoring operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and plant equipment to identify potential issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
- Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance projects.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures where applicable
- What We Are Looking For
Required
- 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems / time predictive management
- Good understanding of HSE and quality standards
- Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
Beneficial
- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Experience with automated or assembly line equipment
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tool
- Knowledge of Cryogenic & F-Gas
