P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently looking for a Service Co-Ordinator on a full-time, permanent basis located in Great Yarmouth.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate workshop and field service activities.
- Schedule engineers, technicians and subcontractors to meet customer requirements.
- Monitor resource availability and maximise utilisation.
- Coordinate emergency breakdown call-outs and ensure service activities are completed within agreed timescales.
- Act as the primary point of contact for service customers, processing enquiries and providing regular updates.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication.
- Raise and manage service jobs within the ERP system.
- Prepare work packs, engineer documentation and process service reports.
- Maintain accurate service records, customer information and job documentation.
- Liaise daily with Service Engineers, Workshop Supervisors, Stores and the Sales Team.
- Arrange travel, accommodation and site access for engineers where required.
- Prepare quotations and invoices for routine service work.
- Monitor purchase orders, customer approvals and service costs against quotations.
- Support warranty administration and ensure completed work is invoiced promptly.
- Ensure service activities comply with company procedures and QHSE requirements.
- Verify engineer training and certification records before mobilisation.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve service planning, administration and customer service standards.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a Service Co-ordinator, Service Administrator or similar engineering support role.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within a workshop, engineering or service environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using ERP or service management systems would be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to think proactively.
- Understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours per week. 08:00 - 16:30 with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
