P&S Recruitment are currently looking to build a strong candidate pool of experienced and reliable Forklift Drivers for upcoming opportunities with our clients in and around the Great Yarmouth area. We are keen to speak with available candidates who hold valid forklift licences and are looking for ongoing or temporary work opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Operating forklift trucks safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving stock around warehouses and yard areas
- Stacking and storing pallets
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
- Following all site health & safety procedures
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience operating forklift trucks within warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or yard environments
- Confident using Counterbalance, Reach, Bendi/Flexi, or PPT trucks depending on site requirements
- A valid and in-date forklift certificate/licence from a recognised accrediting body
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and safe manual handling procedures
- Strong awareness of workplace health & safety regulations and safe loading/unloading practices
- Ability to complete daily equipment checks and report faults or damages promptly
- Experience working to deadlines in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Team player with a flexible attitude towards duties and shift patterns
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for stock handling and paperwork completion
- Own transport preferred due to some client locations and varying shift times
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime where required
