P+S Recruitment is working on behalf of its client, who are seeking an Accounts Assistant in Great Yarmouth on a full‑time or part‑time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Legal cashiering duties: process client and office account transactions in accordance with industry accounting regulations; post receipts, payments, transfers and bill transactions accurately; carry out daily bank reconciliations; manage electronic banking and online payments; monitor client balances and assist with residual balance reviews; assist with month‑end and year‑end accounting procedures; ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Accounts assistant duties: process purchase invoices and supplier payments; assist with credit control and chasing outstanding invoices; maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems; support payroll administration where required; assist with VAT returns and financial reporting; handle petty cash and expense claims; support the wider finance team with administrative tasks.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a legal cashiering or accounts assistant role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
