Job Description:
P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Offshore Fire Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attending Oil & Gas Platforms, Offshore Renewable Substations and Marine Vessels to provide installation repair and maintenance on a variety of equipment to include: fire extinguishers, fire suppression, breathing apparatus and helideck fire equipment.
- General workshop duties when onshore.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous working experience and knowledge within in a similar role or field – Fire Technician, Mechanical Technician, Hydraulic Technician, Instrument Technician, Automotive Technician, agricultural or marine engineering.
- Ability to read & interpret drawings.
- Mechanically trained.
- Electrical knowledge would be an advantage.
- The ability to transfer mechanical skills to new tasks efficiently.
- Basic Health and Safety Awareness.
- Time served apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline, that includes a technical qualification in Mechanics/Engineering. (Desirable)
- Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
Working Hours:
- Workshop hours Monday – Friday (40 hours)
