Ps & Gs is a vibrant Scottish Episcopal Church in the centre of Edinburgh with an active and growing congregation of around 1,200 and a staff team of 21. Our current Rector, Rev Canon Dr Dave Richards, plans to retire after 30 years of ministry at Ps & Gs. We want to ensure a smooth transition of leadership that involves a handover period from Dave to his successor.

We are seeking a passionate and gifted leader to become our Rector and lead Ps & Gs at this exciting time in the life of the church. More information can be found on our website and please be assured of our prayers as you seek whether God may be guiding you to lead Ps & Gs.

Please note that applicants must:

  • be an experienced and dynamic Christian leader;
  • be able to commit fully to the vision, values and strategy of Ps & Gs;
  • be generously orthodox and evangelical in theology;
  • be an ordained priest within the Anglican Communion;
  • be willing to start the role initially as Rector-designate with a maximum handover period of 6 months;
  • already have the right to live and work in the UK.

The appointment will also be subject to you obtaining a satisfactory PVG Scheme Record through Disclosure Scotland.
