Workday Finance & HCM Consultants (Lead & Mid-Level Opportunities) in Swindon

We are currently recruiting four permanent Workday Consultant roles to join a major shared services environment supporting a large public sector organisation.

These opportunities span both Finance and HCM, at Consultant and Lead Consultant levels, offering the chance to work on complex, enterprise-scale Workday solutions within a collaborative and forward-thinking delivery team.

We are hiring across the following areas:

• Workday Finance Lead Consultant (senior/technical leadership focus)
• Workday Finance Consultant (delivery & support focus)
• Workday HCM Lead Consultant (senior/technical leadership focus)
• Workday HCM Consultant (delivery & support focus)

All roles contribute to the design, configuration, optimisation and support of Workday, within a highly structured and mature environment.

?? What Youll Be Doing

Depending on level and specialism, responsibilities will include:

• Designing, configuring and delivering Workday Finance or HCM solutions
• Acting as a subject-matter expert across key modules (Finance: GL/AP/AR/etc | HCM: Core HCM, Absence, Talent, etc.)
• Supporting incident management, BAU support and continuous improvement
• Leading or contributing to requirements gathering and design workshops
• Ensuring solutions meet SLA/KPI, audit and compliance requirements
• Collaborating with stakeholders, programme teams and system integrators

For Lead roles additionally:

• Providing technical leadership and design assurance
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues
• Mentoring and supervising other consultants
• Driving best practice, governance and roadmap planning

?? What Were Looking For

Core Requirements (all roles):

• Experience working with Workday Finance or Workday HCM (implementation, configuration or support)
• Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes (Finance or HR)
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs
• Experience working in Agile or structured delivery environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Additional for Lead roles:

• Proven experience in technical leadership or solution assurance
• Experience mentoring or supervising teams
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions

• Public sector or shared services experience
• Workday integrations, reporting or analytics exposure
• Experience with other ERP platforms (e.g. Oracle)
• Workday certifications
