An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Service / Service Manager / Operations Manager to lead high-quality women’s services within a well-established, trauma-informed organisation. This senior leadership role combines strategic development and operational management, with a key focus on women’s homelessness, housing provision, safeguarding, and service delivery. Working closely with the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance, quality, and growth across services supporting women affected by violence, exploitation, and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop women’s services, including housing and homelessness provision
  • Drive safeguarding, compliance, governance, and quality assurance
  • Oversee service performance, KPIs, outcomes, and reporting
  • Manage and develop staff, embedding a trauma-informed culture
  • Build partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, and funders
  • Lead on tenders, funding bids, and service development

Requirements

  • Experience in a senior leadership role (Head of Service / Service Manager / Registered Manager level)
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, CQC/Ofsted (or equivalent), and compliance frameworks
  • Background in VAWG, homelessness, supported housing, or complex needs services
  • Proven ability in partnership working, stakeholder management, and commissioning
  • Experience in income generation, tenders, or contract management
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and report writing skills
