Deputy Manager – Supported Living | Braintree, Essex Location: Braintree, Essex Salary: £35,300.16 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm Contract: Permanent Reports to: Regional Manager and Service Manager Deputy Manager – Braintree We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established and highly regarded care and support provider for an experienced Deputy Manager to join their supported living service in Braintree, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social care professional looking to take the next step in their management career and play an important role in the safe, effective and person-centred running of the service. About the Role As Deputy Manager, you will support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the service and deputise fully in their absence. You will provide leadership, supervision and guidance to the support team while helping to ensure that people receive high-quality, person-centred support in a safe and positive environment. The role also includes participation in the Essex on-call rota. Key Responsibilities Support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the service and deputise in their absence. Provide day-to-day supervision, support and guidance to Support Workers. Participate in the Essex on-call rota. Contribute to person-centred support plans, risk assessments and regular reviews. Help ensure safeguarding procedures and organisational policies are followed. Support with staff rotas, inductions and ongoing training. Help maintain safe and appropriate staffing levels. Build positive and professional relationships with families, commissioners and other professionals. Promote high standards of care, support and service delivery. Lead by example and support a positive team culture. About You We are looking for someone with: Previous management or supervisory experience within the social care sector. Experience supporting staff and leading a team. A strong understanding of person-centred support. Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management. Excellent communication and organisational skills. The confidence to deputise for a Service Manager when required. A professional, reliable and positive approach. A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people supported.
