Your Role

  • You will lead the end-to-end UK payroll, compensation and benefits processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery through an outsourced model while maintaining strong governance and compliance.
  • Manage multiple UK payrolls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
  • Own payroll inputs, controls, reconciliations and year-end activities.
  • Manage outsourced payroll providers and ensure SLA delivery.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure smooth process integration.
  • Oversee benefits administration and support salary review cycles.
  • Ensure correct payroll data, taxation and HMRC compliance.
  • Act as Workday/payroll data expert, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
  • Drive process improvements, controls and audit readiness.
  • Act as main contact for payroll queries, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.

Your Background

  • Strong experience in a standalone or senior UK payroll role.
  • Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, statutory payments).
  • Experience managing outsourced payroll providers.
  • Familiarity with HR/payroll systems (ideally Workday) and strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity and ability to work independently.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
