About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HV System Design Engineer to join our Engineering Design Team based in Eastleigh. The Power Grids Design team handles complex HV cable systems design, supporting the HV business in tenders and contracts for transmission and windfarm projects in the UK. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for HV System design activities for tenders and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical details and cost-effective cable system design proposals for customer enquiries and support during contract execution.
- Liaise with other Prysmian Affiliate Design teams to support UK projects and participate in Prysmian Group Design coordination meetings.
- Maintain records of contracts for future reference.
- Provide technical support, training, and services to internal teams and customers.
- Drive product approvals for UK customers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in HV systems design and involvement in large-scale projects is desirable.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience with Mathcad is preferred, but training can be provided.
- Methodical thinker with strong communication skills, both written and oral.
