We are currently looking to recruit Production/Cable Makers for our Cable manufacturing site in Wrexham.
Average working week of 37 hours. Staggered 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 2 days then 2 nights (7am-7pm/7pm – 7am). May shutdown. Christmas shutdown. 16 floating free choice holidays.

This production operative role will require you to operate various types of process equipment (full training provided); in a safe and efficient manner ensuring that attention to detail is maintained at all times to produce high-quality products.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement in Safety, Quality and Productivity in all areas of manufacturing.
As a Cable Maker you will be required to work flexibly across multiple processes and operations, working safely, within specified training and risk assessments whilst supporting a culture of Zero Harm through your behaviour.
Key Tasks:- Running machines/processes to achieve the highest possible output.
- Carrying out support activity whilst your machine is running, such as; Set-Up Preparation, Quality In-Process testing & Measurement, Cleaning/Housekeeping, Data entry/recording and material supply.
- Commitment and Focus on Right First Time principles and Waste minimisation.
- Previous experience of working in a factory environment.
- Enthusiasm and be highly motivated.
- Strong safety ethic and personal safety record.
- Possess a high level of drive, energy and commitment. Positive attitude prepared to take the initiative and make decisions that support operational targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills.
- Basic keyboard skills and IT aptitude for maintaining work records and relevant data recording.
- Good standard of education, achieving GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English as a minimum.
Full Training will be provided for all new starters as well as future opportunities to progress and develop further.
