Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:
We are looking for a UK Quality Manager to join our team in Eastleigh. Reporting to the Quality Director Europe and Country CEO, you will have multi-site responsibility along with three direct reports (Site Quality Engineers). You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Country and Regional strategic direction. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to driving a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Frequent travel between the three UK manufacturing facilities is required.
You will be responsible for:
- Defining and deploying the UK-wide quality strategy aligned with Europe Region and Group objectives.
- Leading the development and execution of quality improvement initiatives to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), including customer claims, cost of poor quality (COPQ), and internal defect rates.
- Representing the UK in global or regional quality steering committees, sharing best practices and aligning on group standards.
- Overseeing the performance and consistency of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across all three UK production facilities.
- Monitoring and improving quality metrics, ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
- Leading internal and external audits (certification bodies, customers, regulatory).
- Leading resolution of major customer quality issues, ensuring timely communication, investigation, and sustainable corrective actions.
- Providing support at early stages during tenders and contracts, ensuring that Quality requirements from customers align with the manufacturing and testing capabilities within the perimeter.
- Championing A3 improvement projects, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies to reduce variation and eliminate waste.
- Monitoring and improving right-first-time yield, rework rates, and supplier quality performance.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
- Ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
- Extensive proven experience in manufacturing quality roles within leadership.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
- Proven experience managing multi-site quality operations.
- Expertise in statistical tools, root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with customer-facing quality issues and product certifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience in regulated or certified product environments (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical).
- Familiarity with SAP or another ERP and QMS software platforms.
