Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: We are currently looking for a Mobilization Manager to join our Marine Operations team in Middlesbrough! In this role, you’ll take vessel mobilisation from concept to reality transforming back‑deck layout ideas into fully operational marine spreads for both company‑owned and chartered vessels. You’ll play a hands‑on part in ensuring every project is safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing the right hire equipment to meet project requirements and budgets
  • Carrying out vessel inspections to ensure suitability before hire
  • Leading the engineering and planning of vessel mobilisations
  • Preparing detailed shipyard scopes of work
  • Overseeing mobilisation activities in line with classification and flag requirements

You’ll also take a proactive approach to monitoring offshore operations, with regular site visits to support safe and effective project execution.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare mobilisation budgets and track costs to stay within project targets.
  • Develop mobilisation procedures that meet Company, QHSE, class and flag requirements.
  • Support vessel selection and liaise with internal teams (Marine Ops, Purchasing, Asset Management).
  • Conduct suitability and off‑hire surveys to ensure vessels meet all standards and RFQ requirements.
  • Manage end‑to‑end vessel mobilisation, including engineering, operations and cost control.
  • Ensure the right resources are deployed onboard during mobilisation activities.
  • Review technical and contractual information to support planning, permits and mobilisation documentation.
  • Support project site services and ensure offshore teams have the resources they need.

You are the right fit if you have/are:

  • Ideally hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects, or extensive experience in Vessel Engineering with relevant industry qualifications for example Chief Engineering Officer.
  • Proven experience in submarine cable mobilisation/installation or wider cable‑industry projects.
  • Strong offshore operations experience across shallow, mid, or deep‑water cable installation.
  • Hands‑on understanding of vessels, subsea systems, and navigation/survey equipment.
  • Confident communicator with a solid knowledge of the cable industry and offshore project delivery.
  • Experience working with submarine power cables and maintaining high HSE standards in regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi‑discipline offshore teams, earning trust and credibility on board.
