Prysmian is a global cabling solutions provider leading the energy transition and digital transformation. We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Eastleigh. Reporting to the Industrial Planning, Controlling & Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for accounting activities associated with the Wrexham Cable and Components Plants. There will be a requirement to travel to the Wrexham site on an occasional basis, to attend meetings and operational reviews.
You will be responsible for:
- Co-ordination and production of timely and accurate monthly Management Accounts, reporting information both for the internal Management team and for submission to HQ and other external reporting requirements.
- Providing Manufacturing & Logistics Managers with explanations for the financial performance, identifying potential problems and opportunities.
- Review and provide commentary on variance analysis for Manufacturing and Logistic costs for Senior management.
- Detailed Evaluation of the inventory for the Plants.
- Assisting in the preparation of the Operations and Logistics annual budgets.
- Preparing information for audits and liaising with auditors.
- Carrying out ad-hoc projects for other members of the Finance Management team.
You are the right fit if you have/are:
- Ideally hold experience within a similar position, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Preferably be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA).
- Confident and self-motivated team player, possessing excellent communication skills together with strong organisational ability.
- A flexible approach will also be required in order to meet demanding deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills, as well as a good knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of SAP or a similar ERP system will also be beneficial.
