We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Apprentices, based at the Wrexham site, who are interested in an electrical or mechanical engineering career working within a challenging multi-skilled maintenance environment.

We will be offering an Electrical or Mechanical biased apprenticeship in maintenance engineering. The maintenance apprenticeship will train the individuals to work within a maintenance team whose responsibility is to safely and efficiently maximise the reliability of our cable manufacturing machinery.

Working Week: Monday to Friday

Number of Hours per Week: 37 hours

Future prospects: The company employs engineers of a range of levels across its activities – in manufacturing, maintenance, research, development, and installation. Apprentices completing the training period may be offered positions in these areas if suitable positions are available.

Position duration: The position is offered for the duration of 3 or 4 years on the basis that the apprentice will be provided training and development during the period.

Candidate Details: Candidate will be able to demonstrate good practical skills, an ability to plan and organise themselves, work well in a team and possess good communication / interpersonal skills. In addition, you will have a keen interest in Engineering / Technology and exhibit a practical aptitude. We will expect a professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Qualifications Required: Minimum of 4 GCSEs, including Maths, English, and Science (grade A-C). An Engineering qualification (BTEC) or Pathways to Apprenticeship qualification would be desirable.

Location details: This role is based at our Wrexham site, the address of which is Oak Road, Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham, LL13 9PH. We are able to offer free car parking next to the site.
