A commitment to work a reasonable amount of overtime is required.The UK High Voltage Laboratory tests everything from high voltage to extra high voltage cables and accessories and is the largest laboratory both within the UK and within the Prysmian Group worldwide.The main responsibilities of this role:* To work on XLPE and fluid filled cable projects, assisting high voltage cable jointers.* To assist high voltage test engineers in the setting up of tests* To perform optical fibre jointing and testing* Assist with general laboratory housekeeping* Assist in plant maintenance activities* To perform degasification and filing operations related to cable terminations**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and be able to work to a high level of accuracy, in a fast-paced environment. The individual will be willing to work flexibly to achieve deadlines as required.A FLT licence is desirable; however, training can be provided.Candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at a variety of levels internally, providing feedback to the laboratory management.Experience in a similar role/environment is desirable.**Location Details**The site location address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited, Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 6YU.
