The Opportunity
Reporting to the Energy R&D Manager, Oceania, we are seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Development Manager to lead engineering solutions, innovation and drive new product initiatives. This role is pivotal in interpreting customer needs, developing tailored cable solutions, and enhancing Prysmian's competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Solution Innovation
- Interpret customer requirements and propose solutions using Prysmian's product portfolio.
- Collaborate with Cable Design and cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products aligned with international standards.
- Reverse-engineer competitor products and assess Prysmian's competitiveness.
- Present technical solutions to key client stakeholders.
- Project Coordination
- Lead New Product Introduction & Development (NPID) activities, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage engineering deliverables and timelines for cable-related scopes.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Commercial, and Logistics teams to ensure project success.
- Customer Focus
- Participate in customer-driven innovation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Deliver post-sales support and nurture long-term customer relationships.
- Represent Prysmian at industry forums, customer events, and on social media.
- Support cable solution training for internal teams and customers.
