We have opportunities for Electrical Maintenance Technicians to join our Maintenance team in Wrexham on a 5 team shift rota. The role will be at our production facility and involve the following:

  • Qualifications/Experience
    • Electrical PLC, Instrumentation and Electronic drives.
    • Using software to interface or diagnose faults on plant and machinery.
    • Maintenance on large AC and DC motors.
    • Machine and Plant lock off procedures.
  • Duties/Responsibilities
    • Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation.
    • Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery.
    • Working as a team with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Working to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays.
    • Adherence to Health & Safety with absolute priority.
    • Lifting and handling plant and machinery components using appropriate equipment and techniques.
    • MS Office or equivalent.
    • Ability to read technical drawings.
    • Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or proven experience.
  • The Person
    • Time served with experience in all aspects of electrical maintenance engineering.
    • Completed a recognised, certificated industrial apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance.
    • Significant experience in an industrial maintenance field.
    • Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
    • Work well under pressure.
    • Practical approach.
    • Team player.
    • Flexible attitude to overtime and shift cover.
  • Working Hours and Benefits
    • Average working week of 36.5 hours.
    • Highly Competitive Salaries with opportunities to progress.
    • Staggered 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, 2 days then 2 nights (7am-7pm/7pm – 7am).
    • Every 10 weeks or 7 blocks on, there is an 18 day break.
    • There are 5 x 18 day breaks within the rostered year.
