We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team. The role will be at our production facility in Bishopstoke and involve the following:

  • Working to the site Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of medium/heavy industrial plant and machinery
  • Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections
  • Developing and implementing modifications to improve reliability and efficiency of plant and machinery

This role operates on a 4-week rotating shift pattern, covering both days and nights. Shifts are 12 hours in duration, from 6:00am to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00am.

Qualifications/Experience in the following:

  • Time served qualified industrial maintenance mechanical fitter/technician
  • BTEC NVQ or equivalent qualification in mechanical maintenance
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding
  • Maintenance of rotating machinery
  • Machining and welding experience would be advantageous

Location details:

This role is based in our offices near the Eastleigh town centre. The address is Prysmian Cables & Systems Limited, Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh, SO50 6YU. There are good transport links to Eastleigh and the site is approximately 15 minutes walk from the railway station.
