You will join the maintenance team and will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience from our electrical maintenance technicians. You will also attend a day release to college to gain several academic and vocational qualifications to enable personal development to be competent in the following:
- Diagnosing, fault finding and repair of PLCs, Electronic Drives and Electrical control systems on industrial plant and machinery.
- Completing preventative maintenance checks and inspections.
- Developing and implementing electrical modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery.
- Working as a team with maintenance and manufacturing colleagues.
- Following all relevant Company, Health and Safety & Quality procedures and processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs Grade A-D or 3-9, including Mathematics, English Language and Science.
- Good practical skills, able to plan and organise themselves, with an aptitude for understanding general technical issues.
- Self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision.
- It is essential that you can work well in a team and possess good communication/interpersonal skills.
- We will expect a professional attitude to work and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Work well under pressure.
The position will be offered for the duration of 4 years on the basis that the apprentice will be provided training and development during the period.
