You will lead the end-to-end UK payroll, compensation and benefits processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery through an outsourced model while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

  • Manage multiple UK payrolls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
  • Own payroll inputs, controls, reconciliations and year-end activities
  • Manage outsourced payroll providers and ensure SLA delivery
  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure smooth process integration
  • Oversee benefits administration and support salary review cycles
  • Ensure correct payroll data, taxation and HMRC compliance
  • Act as Workday/payroll data expert, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency
  • Drive process improvements, controls and audit readiness
  • Act as main contact for payroll queries, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution

Your Background

  • Strong experience in a standalone or senior UK payroll role
  • Deep knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, statutory payments)
  • Experience managing outsourced payroll providers
  • Familiarity with HR/payroll systems (ideally Workday) and strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail, integrity and ability to work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
