From countries, to cities, to homes. On land and under the seas Prysmian is the industry leader bringing power and communications to the world. As the demand for both continues to soar and industries move steadily towards more renewable and sustainable energy sources, Transmission System Operators (TSOs) are increasingly engaged in developing, extending and upgrading their power grids.

We’re the strategic partners for our TSO customers, supporting the development and production of transmission grids, and helping to facilitate the bulk movement of electrical energy from the site of generation to electrical substations. Making innovation a cornerstone of our work, and R&D a constant investment, we offer both HVAC and HVDC cable systems for power transmission for both land and submarine connections.

Within our UK Power Grids business our team of experienced and highly skilled Cable Technicians (Cable Jointers and Fluid Technicians) are deployed to undertake Jointing and associated works on the High Voltage cables systems that form a significant component of the UK’s energy grid. This could be maintenance of the current network or assisting with the installation of new energy sources.

We are currently looking to recruit experienced High Voltage Cable Jointers to be deployed on both project and maintenance activities throughout the UK (with the opportunity for international travel). Candidates should have experience of jointing either XLPE or fluid filled cables within the voltage range of 66kV to 400kV (with a minimum experience and certification of 275kV).

As a market leader and manufacturer of cables and accessories Prysmian Group is uniquely placed to offer advancement and development to the higher voltages from our Jointing Schools in both the UK and Italy.

It is essential that candidates for this role have a full and valid driving licence due to the frequency of travel involved.

Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities. We strongly believe that diversity brings significant value at all levels of the organization, increasing the possibility of capturing market opportunities and maximizing value for our customers and stakeholders.

With Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) as part of our Social Ambition 2030 and a strategic pillar of our Company culture, Prysmian is committed to the development of an organization that prioritizes talent, where people feel respected, included, and free to fully express their potential just as they are.

All Managers and HRs in Prysmian are responsible for ensuring DE&I policies are respected during the recruiting process, as well as recognizing and mitigating unconscious biases that must not influence our selection processes. Prysmian will endeavor to make a reasonable accommodation for any disclosed physical or neurological condition or disability of a qualified applicant unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the operation of our business.
