About the Role
We’re looking for a talented, self-driven, confident copywriter to write compelling new messaging for a range of flagship product communications, which support our commercial objectives and resonate powerfully with our target audiences. You will play a key role in articulating and expanding the distinctive benefits of our key propositions, principally PruFund - our flagship smoothed investment solution. You’ll shape how we tell the PruFund story to advisers, helping them to understand and articulate the Fund’s unique benefits in an increasingly volatile and uncertain world.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, compelling, and compliant copy for product collateral, web content, and promotional materials across digital and print.
- Translate complex investment concepts into engaging narratives that resonate with financial advisers and clients.
- Collaborate with marketing, investment, compliance, and digital teams to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and aligned with our brand tone of voice.
- Understand and execute against product messaging frameworks, content journeys, and thought leadership research campaigns.
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast‑moving environment while managing a range of stakeholders.
About You
- Ability to write with clarity, authority, and emotional impact - balancing technical accuracy with high levels of accessibility, understanding and persuasion.
- Ability to flex the technical pitch and tone of articles depending on the sophistication of the audience, for example, either adviser or advised consumer.
- An understanding of content principles: message hierarchy, tone of voice, content flow and brand guidelines.
- An understanding of investment principles, diversification, and multi-asset funds.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and an ability to work to challenging deadlines.
- Financial services experience and an understanding of adviser-client dynamics.
- Comfortable working in a regulated environment, collaborating with compliance teams, with an understanding of financial and non-financial promotions.
Desirable
- Ideally, some experience writing for the asset management or financial services industry is desirable, with a focus on investment products or adviser communications.
- An understanding of insured funds, particularly smoothed or with profits funds, would be desirable.
- Ideally, a working knowledge of FCA financial promotions rules and COBS guidelines is also desirable.
- Experience with Aprimo or other digital asset management systems would also be beneficial.
