A GLOBAL LEADING ASSET MANAGER WITH A DIVERSE & INCLUSIVE CULTURE. As the Global Asset Management business of Prudential, we’re always looking for ways to improve financial services. We’re passionate about making a meaningful impact - touching the lives of millions and solving financial challenges in an ever-changing world. We also believe talent is key to achieving our vision and are intentional about building a culture on respect and collaboration.

What you will do:

  • We are seeking a full time Analyst to join the Corporate & Projects Workouts (“CPW”) team in London.
  • CPW is PGIM Credit’s dedicated restructuring team, managing over $1.0bn in assets that were originally underwritten by regional deal teams, but are now experiencing financial stress.
  • The team works closely with borrowers, other lenders, and external advisors to maximize economic recoveries and support companies as they work through existing challenges.
  • The team also underwrites protective investments if required and provides consultation services to the regional offices.
  • With a footprint in Chicago, New York and London, the London team’s portfolio covers UK and European assets but works directly with the US based teams.
  • As the underwriting side is industry agnostic, you will get exposure to a broad array of businesses and situations, from FTSE250 companies, to private family owned enterprises and mezzanine debt investments.
  • The successful candidate will be a member of a small team in London, so your input and responsibilities will be meaningful from day one.

What you can expect:

  • Assess business and financial strategy for portfolio companies.
  • Carry out financial analysis and modelling, including manual valuations.
  • Complete written memos for internal approval and monitoring purposes.
  • Coordinate with external parties effectively, whether senior management teams of portfolio companies, external lawyers or financial advisors.
  • Review supporting information and analysis for live restructurings.
  • Ongoing monitoring requirements for portfolio companies.

What you will bring:

  • Relevant experience in finance, restructuring, private credit underwriting, investment banking, commercial banking or asset management. Direct restructuring experience beneficial, but not required.
  • Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (all subjects areas considered).
  • Excellent analytical and accounting skills.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the capital markets.
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple work streams and prioritize effectively, often under time pressure.
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility – our team is split across times zones, so a willingness to manage this and meet the expectations of the role that come with this, is essential.
  • Participation in the Chartered Financial Analysts® (CFA) program is a plus.

What we offer you:

  • Private Medical Insurance: PGIM offers private medical insurance and pays the full premium on behalf of all employees.
  • Annual Leave of 25 to 28 days, based on years of service, at full pay.
  • Retirement Savings Plan: Employees receive a company contribution of 10% basic annual salary and a maximum employer-matching contribution of 5% of basic annual salary.
  • Life Assurance & Income Protection: Life Assurance for 8 times your basic annual salary, up to a max benefit of £1.8million. 75% of your basic annual salary for a limited payment terms of 5 years, at the end of which a capital sum of 2x your basic annual salary is payable.
