Our Role
As Regulatory Reporting Director, you will lead a team of 5 people.
You will be based in London and report into the Head of London Operations Team.
Your new team supports all aspects of Regulatory Reporting for EMIR (ESMA & UK), ASIC, FMIA, Mi Fi D & SFTR.
What You Can Expect
- Team Leadership & Oversight
- Manage and provide oversight for staff, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
- Motivate and engage team members through effective management practices.
- Oversee daily production work and ensure consistent process execution.
- Works with Head of Operations to ensure the team is following a global regulatory reporting strategy and framework to ensure compliance with in-scope regulations.
- Risk & Control
- Maintain a well-controlled support environment by enforcing process standards.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks that could impact performance or deadlines.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for regulatory reporting matters.
- Prepares key performance metrics and may be required to present updates at various committees and meetings.
- Staff Development
- Support staff in problem-solving and adopting new processes and where escalation is needed.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
- Oversee preparation and delivery of performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Process Improvement
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and leverage available tools to enhance workflows.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Operational Risk for guidance on complex issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Respond to complex requests from internal stakeholders with clarity and precision.
- Attend client meetings and calls, ensuring timely and accurate query resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Black Rock and other vendors.
- Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Operating Risk management, TSG, Legal & Compliance.
- Operational Coverage
- Demonstrate understanding of daily tasks to provide coverage when needed.
- Ensure continuity and consistency in service delivery across the team.
- What You Will Bring
- Extensive experience in Operations/Regulatory Reporting environment, including significant leadership experience within Regulatory Reporting
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in EMIR (UK & ESMA), ASIC, FMIA, SFTR and MIFID II (T+1 and Post Trade Reporting)
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across departments
- Good product knowledge across all Fixed Income Products (Bonds, Derivatives Futures, Options) (Equities are not required).
- Comprehensive understanding of operational Risk and a strong commitment to maintaining robust operational controls.
- Keeping abreast of industry/regulatory developments and market trends that can impact the business model and/or offer opportunities to improve our internal processes

- Knowledge of Aladdin, Unavista, DTCC, Kaizen & Novatus beneficial
- Ideal candidate would come from an operations, regulatory or change management background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills on all levels
