The Senior Communications Specialist plays a key role in shaping and amplifying BBNC’s voice. This position drives strategic communications initiatives that strengthen brand integrity, engage shareholders, and elevate corporate visibility across digital, print, and in-person platforms. This role is ideal for a communications professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, and a collaborative partner who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in public speaking, copywriting, and editing with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain poise in high pressure situations
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and perform multiple duties on short notice
  • Organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent PC skills including advanced experience with MS Office applications and desktop publishing in the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Advanced understanding of the latest marketing and communication tools and trends
  • Graphic and publication design experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Familiarity with the Bristol Bay region and Alaska Native Corporations
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in marketing, communications, business, or related field with 3-5 years working experience in marketing and/or communications roles

  • Work performed in a professional office facility.
