We are recruiting for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a prestigious Facilities Maintenance Management company to deliver its operational and strategic objectives. Working closely with the project, asset and maintenance teams to deliver high levels of lifecycle and project work across the portfolio of buildings in the North. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of projects and maintenance, ensuring contractual compliance, maximising revenue, and managing costs effectively. The role is a permanent position paying up to 55k basic. Plus package (car allowance etc.). 40 Hours per week.

  • Management of company, client and customer expectations regarding all associated contracted activities
  • Commercial interpretation and advice
  • Development and maintenance of the Supply Chain to ensure that commercial and contractual arrangements are back-to-back wherever reasonably practical with partnering agreements
  • Procuring lifecycle replacement work and variations within the current portfolio across the North
  • Ensuring robust and appropriate procurement and contract arrangements are in place, and relevant to the value of works
  • Support and handover of new projects to the operational team for delivery, with ongoing contract and financial management of projects during project life
  • Ensuring all documentation record keeping complies with arrangements in line project and lifecycle manual as well as the Facilities Management Agreement and the Project Agreement
  • Providing Commercial advice and guidance regarding contractual requirements for both contractual and commercial challenges as well as life cycle work and pre-tender estimate advice
  • Ownership of the life cycle process ensuring that the contracts adhere to the life cycle process
  • Audit and assessment of contracts and operating with NEC3 / NEC4
  • Risk mitigation

Requirements:

  • Good working and practical knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4
  • Previous experience of Contracts oversight and/or Commercial Management within the Building Services or FM sector
  • Ideally some experience of general QS/Estimating
  • Ideally IOSH or NEBOSH training
  • Good working Knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Ability to produce accurate and detailed reports
  • Ability to negotiate best value and oversee contract risk mitigation
  • Valid UK driving license
