We are recruiting for a maintenance plumber to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis in the North West area. The maintenance plumber will be responsible for general repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services on commercial facilities across the area plus compliance checks and general plumbing upkeep. This is a permanent role paying up to £35,000 - £37,000 basic plus overtime, circa 40 hours per week, van supplied.
Maintenance Plumber Description:
- To travel to each facility completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
- Hot and cold water feeds.
- Pumps and valves.
- Radiators and heating.
- Drainage.
- Bathroom/toilet pipework and water services.
- Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting etc.
- Leak repair.
- L8 prevention and thermostatic mixer valves (TMV), tap temperatures.
- Plus other associated tasks.
Plumber Requirements:
- To have maintenance and general plumbing experience - Qualified Plumbers will receive the higher salary.
- Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience, some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
- It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
- Valid driving license.
- Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation and waste).
- Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
- Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
