We are recruiting for a Lead Electrician / Qualifying Supervisor to complete qualifying, testing and sign off of work within an engineering team in the North West. You will be expected to have good knowledge of qualifying electrical installations / building services on commercial estates.
Permanent position paying circa £45,000 to £47,000 plus overtime. On-call TBC. Mon-Fri days. Van and fuel card supplied (personal use if declared). The role will also cover hands-on small works and maintenance duties.
- To lead on electrical works and test / qualify electrical work completed including recent and old installations
- To provide Electrical H&S and compliance engineering on each facility
- To lead on electrical projects and to assess all electrical plans and installations plus completed work
- To carry out fixed wire testing within the facilities
- To ensure that all critical PPM’s are carried out on site and carry out reactive work at the request of the end user, ensuring that this is in line with SLA’s
- To lead sub-contractors and ensure H&S, RAMS and H&S documentation are correct
- Working on commercial grade facilities, offices, retail and warehouses
- To provide electrical guidance and advice to FM's and site management
The role will also involve hands-on duties on both maintenance and minor installations.
Skills & Background Required:
- Recognised professional apprenticeship or equivalent
- Electrical training NVQ Level 3 Grade
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
- Ideally AM2 2391 test and inspection
- Ideally former or current NICEIC or qualifying grade documentation
- Experience of lead and supervisory roles
- Experience of qualifying and testing electrical works and plant
- Must be presentable and reliable
- Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
- Valid driving license
