We are recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Operative / Technician to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis in the Cheshire areas. The fabric maintenance operative will be responsible for working on medical estates and completing planned and reactive maintenance to the buildings. The role is a permanent position paying between 34-37k depending on qualification and skill level. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week days.
Responsibilities:
- Complete reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
- General trade work and building repairs.
- Basic Electrical/lighting tasks.
- Basic plumbing tasks.
- Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting, plastering etc.
- Compliance checks.
- Handyperson duties working alongside engineers and other maintenance team where required.
Requirements:
- Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience, some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Willing and able to pass DBS checks.
- Must have a trade background/training and have worked in the building or estate sector previously.
- It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
- To have good trade skills and a basic understanding of M&E.
- Experience of fabric maintenance tasks and building works such as plastering and painting.
