Building Services Engineer\\n\\nLocation: Dartford, Kent, with travel throughout Southern England (primarily London and the Home Counties)\\n\\nHours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm\\n\\nReporting to: Building Services Contract Manager\\n\\nPurpose of the Role\\n\\nThe Building Services Engineer will deliver high-quality Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair services across client sites, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of the client.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nMaintenance & Repairs\\n\\nComplete all planned and reactive maintenance tasks in line with agreed schedules and service levels\\n\\nDiagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to building services systems\\n\\nReporting & Documentation\\n\\nProduce clear, accurate written reports, timesheets, and service documentation in a timely manner\\n\\nIdentify defects and provide parts lists and estimated repair timescales to the Building Services Contract Manager\\n\\nEmergency Response\\n\\nAttend reactive tasks and emergency callouts as directed by the helpdesk team\\n\\nParticipate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required\\n\\nClient & Professional Standards\\n\\nMaintain a professional image and approach at all times\\n\\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors\\n\\nHealth, Safety & Compliance\\n\\nEnsure a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with Health & Safety, Environmental Health, and COSHH regulations\\n\\nComply with current legislation, industry standards, and company policies\\n\\nAccountabilities\\n\\nAdhere to company policies relating to Health & Safety, Environmental Management, and COSHH\\n\\nMaintain compliance with relevant government legislation and company procedures\\n\\nCommunicate regularly with supervisory and management staff, as well as specialist subcontractors, to maintain service standards\\n\\nReport directly to the Building Services Contract Manager\\n\\nNo direct line management or budgetary responsibility\\n\\nSkills & Requirements\\nTechnical & Professional Skills\\n\\nStrong background in mechanical building services maintenance\\n\\nProven experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance\\n\\nProficient in fault finding and repair of control circuits\\n\\nAbility to work in accordance with statutory maintenance obligations\\n\\nEducation & Qualifications\\n\\nGood basic education, with strong written and spoken English and basic mathematical skills\\n\\nRecognised mechanical services qualification\\n\\nHealth & Safety\\n\\nSound understanding of Health & Safety regulations, environmental impacts, and risk assessments\\n\\nExperience working in compliance-led environments, including lone working procedures\\n\\nCommunication & Teamwork\\n\\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels\\n\\nFlexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach to teamwork\\n\\nPersonal Attributes\\n\\nResilient and effective under pressure\\n\\nComfortable working at height\\n\\nCustomer-focused, with a commitment to delivering high levels of service\\n\\nProactive, solution-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement\\n\\nHighly organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines\\n\\nTakes ownership and responsibility for work delivery\\n\\nAdditional Requirements\\n\\nWillingness to work overtime, including a minimum of two weekends per month\\n\\nParticipation in an on-call rota\\n\\nFull, clean UK driving licence (essential)\\n\\nDesirable Experience & Skills\\n\\nExperience working with Building Management Systems (BMS)\\n\\nRAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) training\\n\\nAbility and willingness to work outside core discipline when required\\n\\nIT literate, with experience using CAFM systems, Microsoft Office, and Project\\n\\nMembership of a relevant professional body
