We are recruiting for a maintenance electrician to work within a large scale facility in Stockport providing maintenance engineering to the plant and production equipment.
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 dependant on experience.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week – 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the Production Manager and take on a proactive, hands-on role. You’ll be responsible for electrical maintenance and repairs across a diverse range of machinery, including packing equipment, cutting machines, stenter ovens and associated peripherals, pleating machinery, lamination equipment, and mixing plant. Your role will also include electrical installation work across the site—such as installing armoured cabling for new machinery, lighting and power installations—alongside completing PPM activities on factory services and equipment. You will also support the installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery.
We’re looking for someone with a proven background in a similar role, strong electrical expertise, and ideally some mechanical capability. You should be confident in identifying potential issues and recommending effective corrective actions. Qualifications & Skills:
- Apprentice-trained or equivalent, with NVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance or installation
- Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret schematic drawings
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
