Position: Industrial Refrigeration Supervisor

Location: Scotland, Glasgow/Edinburgh & surrounding areas

Salary: up to Β£62K plus benefits package & paid overtime x1.5 & x2

Industry: Refrigeration & Cooling Technologies (Food, Pharma, Industrial)

PRS has engaged with a key client and an innovative specialist within Cooling Technologies & Refrigeration Solutions supplied into industries such as Commercial, Food, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals & Industrial. We are seeking an Industrial Refrigeration Supervisor to hire on a full time, permanent basis.

We currently seeking an experienced Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Supervisor to cover various customer locations throughout Scotland. Ideally you would have a Refrigeration Engineering background and be familiar with refrigeration installs, servicing/maintenance and commissioning. This pivotal role involves overseeing complex refrigeration systems, managing technical teams, and ensuring optimal performance across multiple client sites throughout Scotland.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • P&L responsibility for all quoted service works
  • Technical and practical support to regional service engineers
  • Liaison of daily service operations
  • Health and Safety support to regional service engineers
  • Maintaining effective communication with contracted customers
  • Recruitment of Service Engineer resource with RSM
  • Interaction and support with Projects BU
  • Working with the RSM to develop region further
  • Customer reporting as required
  • Completion of all service engineer functions including call out rota
  • Co-ordination of regional projects as and when required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant service supervision experience in the RAC sector and mobile service operations
  • Commercial chiller specific experience and contacts with regional refrigeration end users
  • Good technical knowledge of Industrial systems and equipment
  • Good commercial and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team to effect attainment of agreed targets and objectives
  • Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers' business requirements and operations
  • Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken – a β€˜can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word
  • Time served Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
  • City & Guilds 2078 / 2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling / CITB / C&G Ammonia Handling Certificate
  • City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • NVQ1, 2 & 3 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • Pressure Testing Competency
  • Specific Compressor Manufacturers Training Courses
  • Controls and Strategy experience
