We are seeking a highly capable, decisive, and proactive Operations Manager to join our client, a fast-paced, UK-wide HVAC emergency hire business. This pivotal role ensures the seamless, efficient, and responsive delivery of services, particularly during high-pressure, time-critical situations requiring rapid mobilisation, resource coordination, and clear communication with clients and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the trusted deputy to the Head of Operations, providing leadership across multiple UK regions.
- Oversee asset management, scheduling, and deployment of engineers, ensuring optimal utilisation and service delivery.
- Drive inventory control, PDI, and equipment readiness, guaranteeing reliability for emergency hire projects.
- Manage end-to-end operational functions including production, planning, engineering, warehousing, dispatch, and procurement.
- Implement continuous process improvements and SOP updates to strengthen operational performance.
- Drive measurable improvements in cost control, customer satisfaction, first-time fix rates, and behavioural compliance.
- Use audit observations and performance data to actively challenge, coach, and, where necessary, correct behaviours.
- Serve as a key escalation point, resolving urgent operational challenges efficiently and decisively.
- Participate in the on-call rota, providing rapid guidance and resource coordination during critical incidents.
- Ensure high-priority projects meet SLAs, safety standards, and client expectations every time.
