Job Title: Mobilisation Manager – Building Services Location: Home based Department: Building Services / Facilities Management Reporting to: Head of Operations Salary: £65,000 Job Purpose The Mobilisation Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the mobilisation phase of new building services contracts. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, this role ensures seamless transition from contract award to operational readiness. The Mobilisation Manager will develop and implement project plans, manage resources, and ensure compliance with contractual, health, safety, and environmental requirements, ensuring the service delivery is set up effectively to meet client needs. Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Management Develop comprehensive mobilisation plans, timelines, and milestones to guide the mobilisation process from contract award to service delivery. Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams (operations, HR, finance, procurement, health & safety) to ensure all mobilisation tasks are completed on time and to the required standards. Ensure mobilisation is executed in line with budgetary constraints and operational goals. Contractor Engagement Act as the primary point of contact for contractors during the mobilisation phase, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns. Engage with key stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors) to build strong relationships and ensure alignment of expectations. Resource Coordination Identify and coordinate the necessary resources (staff, equipment, materials) required to achieve successful mobilisation. Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, in collaboration with HR, to meet project needs. Ensure necessary staff training is completed for all mobilised employees, focusing on technical and health & safety requirements. Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure all mobilisation activities are compliant with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards, particularly in relation to health, safety, and environmental policies. Implement quality assurance processes to verify that all services meet company standards and client expectations. Oversee documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and other operational procedures as required by contract. Risk Management Identify potential risks in the mobilisation process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery. Monitor and resolve mobilisation issues as they arise, ensuring quick and effective resolution to maintain project timelines. Handover and Transition Coordinate and document the handover process to the operational delivery team, ensuring they have all the necessary tools, information, and resources. Organize debriefs and lessons-learned sessions post-mobilisation, identifying opportunities for process improvement for future projects. Skills and Qualifications Essential: Proven experience in a mobilisation, project management, or operations role within the building services, facilities management, or related sector. Strong understanding of building services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facilities management systems.
