Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Richmond Salary: £45,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a prestigious site near Richmond. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced engineer who takes pride in maintaining building services and ensuring all mechanical plant equipment runs efficiently. You’ll be responsible for both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, helping to keep operations seamless and reliable. Key Responsibilities Perform planned and reactive maintenance within a modern, high-spec office environment Service and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated parts, including valves, actuators, and motors Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime Ensure building systems operate effectively, providing a safe and comfortable workspaceRequirements City & Guilds mechanical qualification (or equivalent) Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within commercial or office buildings Experience working with cooling towers is essential Solid knowledge of HVAC systems and general building services Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skillsBenefits Competitive salary of £45,000 per year Monday–Friday schedule (no shift work) Participation in a call-out rota Overtime opportunities and company pension Ongoing training and career development Supportive and collaborative work environmentIf you’re a motivated engineer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for keeping systems performing at their best, we’d love to hear from you.
