Purpose - We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile AHU Specialist Engineerto work across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial contracts throughout London.

The role will focus on theservice, maintenance, inspection, fault finding and repair of Air Handling Units (AHUs), along with carrying outsystem modifications, rectification works and supporting new plant installationsas required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring plant operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with client and statutory requirements, while maintaining high levels of customer service and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service & Maintenance
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on Air Handling Units and associated HVAC plant.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Inspect, clean and replace filters, belts, bearings, motors, dampers, actuators and associated components.
  • Check and verify operational performance of AHUs, including airflows, temperatures and controls.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Rectification & Modification Works
  • Identify plant defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Undertake repairs and rectification works on AHUs and associated HVAC systems.
  • Carry out modifications and upgrades to existing installations to improve performance, reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Assist with controls-related adjustments and commissioning activities where required.
  • Installation Support
  • Assist with the installation and replacement of AHUs and associated plant.
  • Support project teams during refurbishment and new-build projects.
  • Participate in commissioning and handover activities.
  • Ensure installations are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings and industry standards.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Comply with all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow safe systems of work.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle in a safe and professional condition.
  • Client Relations
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and site representatives.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations where appropriate.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience working on Air Handling Units (AHUs) within commercial or industrial environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience carrying out HVAC service, maintenance and repair works.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Good understanding of HVAC systems, associated plant and controls.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with fan coil units, ventilation systems, pumps and associated HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of BMS and controls systems.
  • IPAF certification.
  • PASMA certification.
  • CSCS card.
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications relevant to HVAC maintenance.
  • Experience supporting new plant installation and commissioning projects.
