We are working with a growing M&E contractor delivering high-quality mechanical solutions across complex commercial projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to take a leading role in tendering and pre-construction activities.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates across mechanical packages including HVAC, pipework, and plumbing systems, supporting project delivery from bid stage through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specs, and tender documentation
- Produce detailed cost estimates and take-offs
- Engage suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Support value engineering and cost optimisation
- Attend site surveys where required
- Maintain pricing databases and estimating tools
- Support project handover to delivery teams
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical estimating
- Strong knowledge of pipework, HVAC & public health systems
- Experience on projects up to £5m
- Proficient with estimating software (e.g. Ensign or similar)
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
