We are currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Manager / Supervisor to join the Conference & Banqueting team at an award-winning Grade II* listed events venue in the heart of Central London. This is a highly operational, floor-based role suited to someone with strong conference and banqueting experience who thrives in a fast-paced events environment. We are looking for a confident leader who can oversee the smooth delivery of events, manage teams effectively and act as the main point of contact for clients on the day.
About the Venue:
- 24 meeting rooms ranging from 6 to 90 guests
- Private dining for up to 40 covers
- Conferences, buffets and drinks receptions for up to 300 guests
- Hospitality, conference & banqueting team of 25–30 staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage conference and banqueting operations on the day of events
- Act as the main client contact during events
- Coordinate with kitchen, events and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Supervise and motivate large teams of 10+ staff members
- Deliver exceptional guest experience across conferences, receptions and banquet dinners
- Ensure all events are executed to the highest standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Floor Manager or Supervisor within Conference & Banqueting
- Strong operational background – this is NOT an event planning role
- Experience managing conferences/events with buffets and drinks receptions for 300 guests
- Experience running banquet dinners and supervising larger teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Professional, organised and hands-on approach
Shift Patterns:
- Opening Shift: 7am – 5pm
- Closing Shift: 11am – 8pm
- Event/Evening Shift: 3pm – Midnight/1am
Additional Information:
- Mainly Monday to Friday
- Saturdays required
- Sundays are very rare
- Overtime paid after 45 hours at flat rate
