Our client is a globally operating Real Estate organisation, delivering best-in-class facilities management and engineering solutions for their customers' commercial and residential property portfolios. Due to an internal transfer, a role has become available for an experienced engineering services/technical manager to join their London Engineering Team.

Working on a Monday-Friday basis, the role will provide oversight and support to a portfolio of 6 x commercial multi-tenant buildings in Central London (West-End, City) and liaise with various FM service partners to ensure compliance and agreed SLAs. Guideline salary is circa £65 - 75,000 and will also include a discretionary annual bonus, as well as healthcare, pension scheme, etc.

Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering discipline (mechanical or electrical), with at least five years' experience within an engineering/technical management role, or alternatively a technically qualified contract/account manager. Along with core engineering certificates, additional training such as IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH, current or previous HV/LV AP status, ACOP L8, etc., will all be beneficial, as well as any engineering memberships.

  • Lead Hard Services Management across locations (budgets, schedules, procurement, quality & risk, statutory compliance and governance)
  • Lead service partners and teams in driving performance and best practice to ensure exceptional service delivery
  • Accountable for the Engineering Audit program for the UK client account
  • Deliver improvement strategies using data-driven information from all available technology platforms
  • Accountable for all engineering budgets within the portfolio working with the site facilities managers to forecast
  • Lead the UK engineering function in support of all client accreditations and certifications (e.g. Manage internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators to ensure contractual commitments are met or exceeded)
  • Working in accordance with health and safety measures and promoting best practice amongst colleagues, contractors and vendors
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow safety protocols, keeping up to date with the latest legislation and trends

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering/technical manager to join one of the leaders in the commercial real estate management in the UK, working directly for the managing agent. While managing agent experience is preferred, our customer is open to those working on the Facilities Maintenance/Service Provider side interested in a move towards being the client and the added benefits, prestige and job security which come with that.
