Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within a mission-critical data centre environment?
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a professional engineering team responsible for maintaining and operating critical electrical infrastructure within a high-profile data centre in Docklands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer with strong commercial or critical-environment experience, particularly someone with HVAP experience, to work within a technically advanced facility.
Package
- £55,000 basic salary
- £5,000 HVAP allowance
- £60,000 total package
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting across electrical systems and critical infrastructure.
- Maintaining and testing HV and LV electrical systems and power distribution equipment.
- Working with UPS systems, generators, switchgear and associated critical power infrastructure.
- Carrying out electrical inspections, testing and routine maintenance.
- Supporting the operation and maintenance of BMS and building services systems.
- Responding to electrical faults and assisting with emergency situations.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures, RAMS and health & safety requirements.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, logbooks and compliance documentation.
- Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities teams to ensure maximum site resilience.
- Supporting contractor management and specialist engineering works when required.
- Identifying potential issues before they impact critical operations and escalating faults appropriately.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent.
- City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 / 2391 or recognised equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- HVAP – must be in date or recently lapsed.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial, critical or data centre environment.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, power distribution, UPS and generators.
- Experience with critical electrical infrastructure and electrical fault finding.
- Good understanding of building services and health & safety procedures.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
- Proactive, professional and flexible approach to maintenance.
