TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR - CRITICAL ENVIRONMENT

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Supervisor to join a leading facilities management team operating within a highly critical technical environment in Harlow.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in critical facilities, data centres, building services or technical operations to take responsibility for the day-to-day technical performance of the site.
The Technical Supervisor will provide leadership and technical direction to the engineering team, ensuring maintenance activities, operational procedures and compliance standards are consistently delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and supervision to the site engineering team.
- Oversee day-to-day engineering operations across the facility.
- Ensure critical and non-critical plant and infrastructure remain safe, reliable and operational.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee PPM and reactive maintenance activities.
- Provide technical support and escalation for complex faults and equipment failures.
- Monitor BMS and other building management systems.
- Ensure engineering activities are completed in accordance with site procedures and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate and manage specialist contractors and third-party service providers.
- Review and ensure compliance with RAMS, SOPs, EOPs, Permit to Work and LOTO procedures.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and engineering compliance.
- Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, shift logs and operational documentation.
- Support incident management, emergency response and business continuity procedures.
- Review engineering performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with audits, compliance checks and site inspections.
- Support the development, training and performance of engineers and technicians.
- Ensure effective communication between engineering teams, management, contractors and the client.
- Escalate operational risks and technical issues appropriately.
- Drive a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and plant reliability.
