Experienced Shift Technician responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical infrastructure within a high-availability data centre environment. Working as part of a 24/7 shift team to ensure maximum uptime, operational resilience, and compliance with health, safety, and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performed planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on critical systems including:
    • LV electrical systems
    • UPS systems and standby generators
    • HVAC / CRAC cooling infrastructure
    • BMS and monitoring systems
    • Fire suppression and detection systems
  • Conducted routine plant inspections, fault diagnosis, and first-line response to critical alarms and incidents.
  • Supported contractor management, permit-to-work procedures, and safe system of work compliance.
  • Monitored building and environmental conditions to maintain uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Escalated critical issues appropriately and contributed to incident reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Maintained accurate maintenance records, shift logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Assisted with switching operations, isolations, and emergency response procedures in a mission-critical environment.
  • Worked collaboratively with engineering teams, facilities management, and external vendors to support continuous operations.
