Mechanical and Electrical Services Manager – In House
Location: Central London
Salary: ÂŁ60,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Reporting to: Building Services Manager
Direct Reports: None

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Services Manager to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all technical building systems within our landmark venue. This is a hands-on, strategic role requiring deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset.
You\’ll oversee a wide range of critical infrastructure—from HVAC to electrical and plumbing systems—and play a key role in maintaining the standards that underpin world-class performances and events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Systems Management
- Oversee all M&E systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical assets
- Maintain continuous system availability and ensure optimal operational performance
- Develop and share knowledge of the venue’s Building Management Systems (BMS)
2. Compliance and Safety
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate safety and maintenance records
- Implement permit-to-work systems and enforce health & safety protocols
3. Maintenance Planning
- Develop and manage an asset register
- Plan and execute a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme
- Manage inventory and liaise with contractors and service providers
4. Team Coordination
- Allocate work and ensure tasks are completed to a high standard
- Identify and address training needs for operational support staff
- Champion a safety-first culture within the team
5. Operational Support & Communication
- Provide technical reports and insights to senior management
- Assist in the development of budgets and special projects
- Support other departments with technical guidance as needed

- Proven experience managing M&E systems in complex buildings – essential
- Recognised mechanical or electrical qualifications – essential
- Experience leading technical teams – essential
- Experience in an events, hospitality, or cultural venue – desirable
