We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance handyperson to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a prestigious facility in the Mansfield area. The fabric maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs, compliance checks, fabric maintenance and minor room/building repairs.

The position is permanent, paying up to £32,000 - £33,000 basic, with a schedule of Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week. The position is based at the facility for approximately 3 days/week, then mobile on other estates for around 2 days per week. The catchment area will include South Yorkshire.

Fabric Maintenance Handyperson Description:

  • Provide general maintenance to the facilities including:
    • Lamping
    • Fabric maintenance
    • Basic plumbing, patch plastering, minor joinery, patch painting etc.
    • Completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temperatures etc.
    • Assisting engineers and trades on site
    • Basic room repairs
    • Ad-hoc handyperson duties

Handyperson Requirements:

  • To have maintenance and handyperson experience
  • Valid driving license
  • Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience, some of which will have been in a similar role, and have good customer skills.
  • It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
  • Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks.
  • Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
