As a Multi-Skilled Engineering Specialist, you will play a central role in maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems that support critical healthcare operations.

Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and Trust safety procedures
  • Installation, upgrade, and retrofit of plant and equipment
  • Carrying out testing, inspections, and recording results accurately

  • Responding promptly to technical issues to minimise downtime

Systems you may work on include emergency lighting, power systems, generators, Air Handling Units (critical and non-critical), air conditioning, thermostatic mixing valves, pumps, taps, and blended outlets.

About You

We are looking for a professional engineer with a technical qualification (City & Guilds) in either mechanical or electrical engineering, supported by a solid understanding of compliance and health and safety standards.

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in maintenance of building services or healthcare environments
  • Good working knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach to your work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
