We are recruiting for an experienced Lead Engineer to take responsibility for engineering operations within a high-end, Class A corporate office environment. This is a key, on-site leadership role focused on ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems. You will act as the main point of contact for all engineering-related matters, providing technical leadership, supporting audits and reporting, and maintaining strong, proactive relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all MEP, HVAC, fire and life safety, and energy systems
- Deliver effective planned and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability
- Manage and optimise BMS/BAS and EMS platforms
- Lead fault finding, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities
- Serve as the senior engineering contact for inspections, audits, and reporting
- Supervise multi-skilled engineers and specialist contractors on site
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
- Support team development, performance, and professional standards
- Manage vendors, inspections, permits, and maintenance stock
- Assist with budget control, expenditure tracking, KPI reporting, and compliance
- Participate in occasional out-of-hours or weekend work when required
About You
- Proven experience in a commercial or corporate building services environment
- Strong leadership capability with hands-on technical expertise
- Solid understanding of statutory compliance and critical building systems
- Professional, client-focused, and confident communicator
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing, premium office setting
