Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for a unique opportunity to work on a brand-new, state-of-the-art commercial development in the heart of the City of London? We are recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider, supporting the operation and maintenance of one of the most technically advanced buildings in Western Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants to work within a high-profile environment, develop their technical skills, and be part of a professional engineering team responsible for maintaining critical building services.
The building features some of the latest engineering technology, including advanced environmental controls, humidity and temperature management systems, water harvesting technology, HV/LV electrical infrastructure, AHUs, FCUs, and complex mechanical and electrical services.

Duties
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across electrical installations and building services
- Maintaining lighting systems, control panels, and power distribution equipment
- Servicing and maintaining generators, pumps, motors, seals, and associated equipment
- Completing emergency lighting checks and minor electrical installations
- Supporting HVAC maintenance activities, including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes and cleaning)
- Monitoring and maintaining critical building systems to ensure smooth operation
- Completing maintenance records and ensuring compliance with site procedures
You will ideally have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent electrical qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (preferred)
- Previous experience working within a commercial building environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A professional approach with excellent communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
